Arrowsmith & Sons Apiaries is a testament to forty-one years of "ground-up" grit in Northern California. What began in 1982 with Rick Arrowsmith and just 100 single hives has evolved into a premier commercial operation managing over 14,000 colonies. Based in the rugged Red Bluff area, our bees are bred to thrive in the demanding environments of the West.
A Multi-Generational Mission
We aren't a faceless corporation; we are a family. Today, Rick works side-by-side with his two sons, Clint and Wes, ensuring that every hive receives the oversight of an owner. From queen rearing to yard work, the Arrowsmith name is on every frame.
Commercial-Grade Genetics for Every Beekeeper
We raise our hybrid Italian queens primarily for our own massive operation. The "extras" we offer to the public are the same high-performance genetics we rely on for our family’s livelihood. When you buy an Arrowsmith queen or package, you are getting four decades of survival data and professional selection.
